Österlensaffran is renowned for its premium quality. While we may not boast a 3500-year history, it’s not like we’ve gone completely unnoticed. After all, our saffron, rooted in Sweden since 2019, has made a notable presence on diners’ plates at prestigious dining venues, gaining acclaim within the culinary community in Scandinavia, world cup winner pastry chefs and creative collaborations.

Our commitment to quality is meticulous. Each flower is harvested before it gracefully opens up to the daylight, and every thread is carefully separated, retaining only the top part. We’ve developed our own precise drying method to preserve the filaments’ intense red colouring and characteristic flavour. This results in delivering 100% pure organic saffron—nothing else. This dedication is the foundation of our reputation.

The Package

2CT/0.4 g

Each package consists of 0.4 gram of organic saffron harvested in Sweden. We use a low temperature oven to dry out the moisture +85% so only the crisp petals remains. Approximately 70 flowers, 200 petals per bag.

The package itself is made out of coated paper, it’s recyclable and re-pulpable through the paper process. Compostable and sustainable.
